ME!!
Dr. Gladys NGWA
Gladys and I with some Rev. Sisters in the hospital.
A cross-section of traditional healers in the training workshop for HIV prevention.
The traditional healers had much enthusiasm to learn about HIV!
Being the first of its kind in that area, the turn out was very impressive.
Organisers and facilitators of the seminar; from L - R ; Dr. Ernest Tebo, Dr. Ken Muko and myself.
Bill boards designed by Ken and I for Intercare/Njinikom Project Hope. There are many of such in Boyo division where I worked.
Using Sporting events to pass on HIV messages. The jerseys carry the messages and there's always a pre-match HIV talk.
Teaching the youths basic life skills is an important aspect of Intercare/Njinikom Project Hope.
Antenatal and post natal clinics are important arena for preventing HIV in the next generation.
Sr. Ada and the children in the orphanage. Being a volunteer doctor to the orphanage for three and a half years and doing all I could to make the lives of these innocent children better is one of the most satisfying things I did.
Then, it was time to go!! The staff offered a farewell mass for Gladys and I, and posed for this photo after the mass.
... and the doctors too.
Ofcourse there was "item 11"
Parting gifts changed hands.
But no matter where I am or will be, my work to my country and people continues!
